Slavery and human trafficking is a heinous crime little known about within global society. All organisations have a responsibility to keep abreast of risks to our businesses and in particular, our supply chains. We instruct all of our employees to highlight and report, to senior management, any concerns they may have and we will endeavor to act upon them.
Alan Honarmand, Finance Director for CCS Media Limited.
CCS Media is a value added reseller within the IT Industry and a subsidiary of CCS Media Holdings Limited, a non-trading company.
We employ over three hundred people; duties ranging from telephone sales, technical experts and administrative clerks. All of these people are involved in the provision of IT Goods and Services.
Our supply chain is limited to The Channel. That is to say, CCS Media source goods and services from Manufacturer accredited Distributors. All of our subcontractors go through a Sub-Contractor Vetting Procedure prior to being accepted as a partner.
We are committed to ensuring that no modern slavery or human trafficking takes part within our business. We encourage all of our suppliers to adhere to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act. All of our Sub-Contractors are expected to meet the requirements of the Act as a minimum.
We strive to enforce effective policies to ensure no modern slavery or human trafficking takes part within any area of our business.
As part of our process for eliminating Slavery and Trafficking from our supply chain we:
– Encourage all suppliers and partners to adopt an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy,
– Work with manufacturers who are known to be taking steps towards eliminating heinous crimes within their own supply chain.
– Work with sub-contractors to implement and maintain an appropriate employment policy.
– Work with equal opportunity employers.
– Work with UK suppliers and partners to increase the legislation applied to them to improve the quality of our supply chain.
– Operate an open door escalation and whistleblowing policy, allowing any employee to talk to any manager within the organisation about any suspected breach in our policies, or UK legislation.
We expect all of our suppliers to adhere to our standards, and therefore have a zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking.
Our Human Resources department are responsible for maintaining this standard and all of our management team will report any suspected breach to them.
All employees are trained on our company handbook and supplementary policies upon induction to the company. Any amendments made to the Handbook or Policies are publicised by our Finance Director and Human Resources Director by email and with a link to the Handbook or Policies’ location on our intranet.
CCS Media perform internal audits on at least an annual basis of all of our sub-contractors and suppliers. We will not tolerate any act of Slavery or Human Trafficking.
We do not employ any individual under the age of 16 and our HR System will flag any payroll issues.
Our open door policy for escalation and whistleblowing is an internal and external policy, meaning anyone can speak to any member of our management team about a concern they have with our supply chain.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our business’ slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
