The Challenge
EG Group wanted to create a modern, efficient, and visually impressive workspace. Their key requirements included:
• A large display with ample desk space
• A built-in docking solution
• Low power consumption
• An integrated webcam for seamless video conferencing
They were also committed to maintaining a clear desk policy and achieving energy efficiency across the office.
About EG Group
EG Group is a leading independent forecourt convenience operator with over 6,300 sites globally. Known for their forward-thinking approach, EG Group sought to equip their brand-new headquarters with cutting-edge technology that would reflect their innovation and support their growing workforce.
“The staff are very happy with the screens. They love the size, the clarity, and especially the built-in camera. It’s perfect for multitasking and video calls.”
The Solution
CCS Media, an Advania Company partnered with Philips Monitors to deliver a tailored solution that exceeded expectations. The chosen product was a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor featuring:
• Built-in docking station: One cable connects the monitor to the laptop, eliminating cable clutter and simplifying desk setup.
• Integrated webcam with facial recognition: Ideal for frequent Zoom calls and secure logins.
• Energy-efficient design: Helping EG Group reduce electricity costs by up to 80% per desk.
This all-in-one solution reduced the typical six or seven cables per desk to just one power plug and one USB-C cable, supporting EG Group’s clear desk initiative and enhancing the user experience.
The Impact
The rollout was met with enthusiastic feedback from staff: “The staff are very happy with the screens. They love the size, the clarity, and especially the built-in camera. It’s perfect for multitasking and video calls.”
The visual impact of the new setup also impressed visitors: “One of the key things people notice when they walk into our building is the wall of Philips monitors. It’s a real ‘wow’ moment.”
The Philips ultra-wide monitor used by EG Group has since become Philips’ most popular super-wide product globally, and the solution has since been adopted by many other organisations.
CCS Media, an Advania Company, continues to work closely with EG Group and Philips to evolve the solution and stay ahead of technological trends: “We’re hungry for new technology, and Philips always delivers. The support has been fantastic, and we’re excited to see what’s next.”
