CCS MEDIA EXPANDS AND BREAKS RECORDS IN 2006. A TRUE SUCCESS STORY!
January 19, 2007…2006
was an amazing year for CCS Media. The Chesterfield based company
enjoyed record sales and turnover and, it acquired one of the largest
suppliers to the British broadcasting industry, first4media.
In July 2006, CCS Media broke reported highest monthly sales since it
was formed in January 1983 of £4.3 million. Gross profits increased by
13% overall compared to 2005 figures and the company reported a £47
million turnover (not including sales after the acquisition of
first4media), at the end of the year.
The company’s expansion strategy is going from strength to strength,
with the opening of an office on the SA1 Swansea Waterfront. The area is
at the forefront of the city’s £200 million regeneration scheme with
vast business, retail and living developments. CCS Media also acquired
the Leatherhead based company first4media in November. First4media is
Maxell’s Master Distributor of its full range of broadcast and
professional formats, memory media, AV, batteries and accessories. The
company supplies to some of the top names in the broadcasting industry
and also CCTV equipment to large supermarket chains in the UK.
Terry Betts, Managing Director of CCS Media is delighted with the
company’s performance in 2006. He says, “2006 was a year of considerable
change for CCS Media. The second half of the year was excellent with
record sales and orders figures and our expansion programme,
particularly the acquisition of first4media has meant we have entered
into a new arena with an exciting and varied client base. Despite it
being a tough year in the industry, I am proud of what we have achieved
but nonetheless, we are striving to become bigger and better with the
best sales and after sales service on the market”.

June 28, 2007…the
boys from CCS Media’s Bradford office took part in the Jane Tomlinson

Jane Tomlinson’s seven year plight with terminal cancer.
CCS Media’s IT manager Tony Cooke completed before his colleagues with
an impressive time of 43.5 minutes, not bad given the winner of the
men’s race made it in just over 33 minutes.
Heading the team was Rob Omar, Manager of the Bradford office who said
after the run “we’ve been training for this for a few months now and it
wasn’t until we got here that it really hit us what we had got ourselves
in for. The banter amongst the team as well as the support from other
colleagues and spectators made it an amazing experience, a day that I
certainly won’t forget. I saw other runners from all walks of life,
some sporting T shirts with photographs of loved ones perhaps lost by
cancer and others dressed in fancy dress. It was a fun day for a worthy
cause and I’d definitely take part again next year”.
